Former Flyers goalie Garth Snow gets a promotion

Strange things are afoot in the NY Islanders' management. The GM was fired after complaining of "difficulty working within the team's revamped front office." Goalie Snow steps up to the plate by retiring to take the job. He skipped that whole scouting phase that Hextall went through before becoming the GM of the Manchester Monarchs, AHL affiliate of the LA Kings.

I think the whole hockey world is scratching their heads over this one. Other than sneaking in over-sized goalie equipment, I'm not sure if Garth Snow actually has any hockey skills, to say nothing of GM skills.

Hope the Flyers settle with Gagne soon. I like the Sanderson signing a lot.
