Suspension Bridges

As mentioned by Nate, I recently got to go to a wedding on Long Island. Our car's route took us around most of Manhattan and over two of the ten largest suspension bridges in the world, the George Washington Bridge and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge (which is, I now know, the largest suspension bridge in the US, 60 feet longer than the Golden Gate Bridge). We also drove under of the most famous bridges, the Brooklyn Bridge.

One thing to note is that without traffic concerns, it is faster to get from the LIE to I-78 in NJ by driving straight through Manhattan. But the Verrazano Narrows Bridge is really cool all lit up at night.
