Astrophotography

Now for something more positive and blog-like.

I'm excited. I just got the Meade Deep Sky Imager. I've installed the AutoStar Suite on my laptop and connected the imager for the first time to complete the installation of the USB drivers. Then came the installation of the AutoStar Suite Update 2 from Meade's website.

The next thing I'll do is probably to head on over to the LVAAS South Mountain observatory during the day to test the camera. It's not like me to follow the directions and do some testing first, but what the heck, it means two things. (1) I won't have to wait the additional 3 hours for nightfall. (2) I can do this even if it's cloudy, which it might be tonight.
