In an AP article (N.H. Judge Scrutinizes Trespassing Law), prosecutor Nicole Morse is reported to set a chilling rule for the district.
Regarding legal foreign visitors who may have left their passports in a hotel room, "Morse responded that out-of-the-country visitors shouldn't be driving if all they have with them is a driver's license." (Quoting the article, not Morse.) Her response doesn't seem to be restricted to foreigners, though. Gee, when I travel within the US, that's all I usually have with me for I.D.. I guess I just have to avoid Jaffrey, NH.
